Just wanted to show you a little taster from the wedding I photographed on the French riviera a few weeks back. Such a gorgeous day and the loveliest of couples. Lot’s more pictures to come, but here’s a few from this beautiful day.
Lot’s of love, A
I feel so grateful to have had the great fortune of being the photographer for Annika & Philippe’s amazing wedding at Domaine du Mont Leuze this summer. Total and complete appreciation in fact, as I’ve not only had the great pleasure of photographing their beautiful wedding, but I’ve also been lucky enough to get to know these two absolutely incredible people, and their wonderful friends & families.
There’s an incredible amount of amazingness to this wedding. We’re talking volumes of phenomenal. Greatness on a multitude of levels. Where do I start, and where do I finish. As it feels like there is no beginning and no end. Just a great big ocean of love and laughter.
I could start by telling you how much I love the locations; Paris, Monaco & the Riviera. Or tell you about the absolutely gorgeous Lars Wallin dress with matching Manolo Blahnik shoes. I can rave about their venues; Salons Hoche, The Grimaldi centre (Zelo’s), Monte Carlo Bay hotel, the Miami beach club and Domaine du Montleuze. I could go on by telling you about the amazing flower arrangements, the open air chuppha overlooking the coast, the food (Swedish & French) or the band (soo good!).
And boy oh boy does the French know how to party.
But more than anything this is a story of Annika & Philippe, and the obvious, affectionate and unlimited love they have for each other. There’s so much more to be said, but I’ll let the images speak for them selves.
A + P, thank you! Again. And again.
Also, a big thank you goes to Ingrid, my friend & Colleague, whom I appreciate and love so much. All the images in this blog posts were taken by Ingrid Simons and myself.
Lot’s of love, always, A
I recently spent 3 days shooting a wedding at the beautiful Cap Estel in Èze, situated between Nice and Monaco, in the south of France. A lot can be said for the beauty of the venue & it’s location, I could go on and on about the blue sea and the clear skies. Tell you again and again about the sunsets, of how the world changes with the hours of the day. I could describe the sound of the water washing up on the shore over and over again, and recite the sound of the wind as it touches earth.
But what I really want to tell you involves two people in love and the energy they brought to this day and this place in time.
There’s nothing quite like it when you arrive for preparations to find the beginning of what already feels like the perfect story. You’re on chapter one and you know this is a book you’re not going to be able to put down. And to no surprise the following chapters of the day unfolded in a best seller for sure; filled with excitement, beauty, spontaneity, fun, laughter, passion and love. In short, a story of two people in love, who couldn’t keep their eyes of each other all day, who seemed to be one rather than two. It’s also a story about family, who cares and shares in their love with their laughter and their admiration. A story that talks of friendships with no limits, beyond borders, who rejoice in the happiness of forever after.
N + V, you are beautiful. I could say it a million times, because you truly are. You know the beauty that shines, the one that glows in the dark and smells like roses. That one. I am so happy to have been a part of your special celebration and to have been the one to capture your story with my images. Thank you. So much.
Also a big thank you to my second shooter, Ingrid Simons, who’s always up for an adventure and who supports me always in my work and who worked so well to help create some of the images in this post. Thank you lovely. You’re amazing!
All my love, always. A
Towards the end of summer I was extremely happy to be back in Sweden and the beautiful town of Mariefred. The town in itself is such a cute little village, if you’ve seen or read any of Astrid Lindgren’s children’s books (the author of Pippi Longstocking) this town is it. But it wasn’t actually the beautiful location that took my breath away, it was Therese and Patrick, and the fact that I got to spend the day with them for their small, personal and loving wedding.
There’s really only a few things in life that really matters. One could argue what those are, and it’s all relative in the end. But for sure, for all of us, love is one of them. And as much as love looks and feels different to many of us, it’s not hard to define really, because when you see it and when you feel it, you know it.
And for this beautiful crispy, clear summers day in Scandinavia there was an abundance of love. Unpretentious love. Love that unfolds from that pure place of care and affection. Love that doesn’t try to be anything but what it actually is. Unconditional love. Love that shines and love that lasts.
T + P, You guys! You’re lovely! And so loved! What a beautiful day it was. The weather was perfect. The location, The details. Your friends and family. So lovely, all of it! I truly enjoyed spending time with you guys and getting to know you both better. It was emotional at times, but in the best of ways. I love your little family and how great you are together. Take lot’s of care of each other!
Lot’s of love, always! A
