That’s what I love about photographs.

January 31st, 2012

There’s no hiding I love images. I am crazy in love with photographs and pictures of all sorts. One single shot can blow me away, and equally a series of images can trigger a storm of emotions. My friend, Iain Bain, sent me a link to a website in preparation for an upcoming event, and [...]

There’s no hiding I love images. I am crazy in love with photographs and pictures of all sorts. One single shot can blow me away, and equally a series of images can trigger a storm of emotions.

My friend, Iain Bain, sent me a link to a website in preparation for an upcoming event, and I am so glad he did as I spent a whole evening going through the different stories, told by the subjects in their own words and interpreted by the photographer in his images. I would really recommend anyone to have a look and a listen to this collection of beautiful, everyday stories;  http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/nyregion/1-in-8-million/index.html

I’ve spent my Tuesday creating a story too. A story that in parts has already been told, and captured. I’ve been working on an album design for a wedding I photographed back in October (Heidi and Steve) at Nonsuch Mansion.

It’s an amazing feeling as all the images from the different parts of the day comes together in a book, which then takes you back to that moment in time and not only shows you what it looked like, but tells a story of love and laughter. Of friendships and family relations. A story that has no words but speaks so loud.

That’s what I love about photographs.

Lot’s of love. A

Wedding at the Caledonian Club, London

June 22nd, 2011

Due to the nature of this wedding I can’t really show a lot of images. I can however show you a few images of Carla, the lovely bride and new Mrs. Carla got ready at the Caledonian club, where she later got married and celebrated together with her new husband, their friends and family. She is [...]

Carla got ready at the Caledonian club, where she later got married and celebrated together with her new husband, their friends and family. She is so beautiful. You know the kind of person, that once you get to know them they grow even more gorgeous. That’s Carla.

Here’s a few shots of Carla and some of the details from her wedding a few weeks back. Thank you so much for having me photograph your day and for looking after me so incredibly well. I enjoyed your wedding day enormously and feel very happy to have met you both. Many, many thanks and lot’s of love. A

Summer loving

On a rather dark and damp day like today I am thinking of summer. It makes me happy to remember sunshine and laughter, great days outdoors, fields of flowers and picnics on the beach.

Thinking of Jaego and Jessame instantly put’s a smile on my face. Two children full of life and love ready to enjoy every minute of every moment. Bouncy and sweet, laughing and playing, free flyers. We met up a sunny day in June, in the tiniest of fields just of a busy road in the town of Chertsey, Surrey. This is my hometown and as I pass this little patch of grass on a daily basis I haven’t really thought much about it. Until one day in June this year when I passed on my way to nothingness and just had to pull over and have a little lay in this heaven of daisy’s. I knew there and then that this was the perfect place for two little life lovers; Jaego and Jessame, and a day or two later we came back for some proper summer loving.

Here’s a taster of what it was like. And remember to carry the sunshine in your heart, regardless of the weather outside.

Queensberry Albums

November 3rd, 2010

To follow on from my post a few days ago, I thought it would be appropriate to share some more album layouts. In my previous post I showed you two different layouts for a Storybook. To follow on from my post a few days ago, I thought it would be appropriate to share some more album layouts. In my previous post I showed you two different layouts for a Storybook. Graphistudio, Italy, produces these for me and even though I love everything about these books, Queensberry offers something that looks and feels different, that I find equally fabulous.  It’s the best of both worlds really and where some people just fall in love with the GS, other simply must have a QB. That’s the beauty of it; choice. Not only to pick a book or album that suits you and your style, but once that’s done we tailor make it to be even more personal with cover materials, colours, borders and titles.

Anyway, what I came on here to do was to show you a few pages from a Queensberry layout from a wedding I photographed earlier this summer at Babington House.

Catching up…

I fear I’ve neglected my blog immensely over the last few months. It comes with being busy and prioritising client first, but I miss blogging on a frequent basis so here it goes.

I have lot’s to show you from this summer that you haven’t seen yet, a few recent weddings that’s coming up, an engagement session in London and other little fun bits and pieces like albums and projects I’ve been working on.

To start of I’d like to show you just a couple of album layouts (of many which I am working on right now) from couples who’s pictures you might have seen on my blog earlier this summer. It’s such a journey from meeting a client for the first time, to planning the wedding, photographing it, sharing the result and finally present it in books and albums.
