There’s no hiding I love images. I am crazy in love with photographs and pictures of all sorts. One single shot can blow me away, and equally a series of images can trigger a storm of emotions.
My friend, Iain Bain, sent me a link to a website in preparation for an upcoming event, and I am so glad he did as I spent a whole evening going through the different stories, told by the subjects in their own words and interpreted by the photographer in his images. I would really recommend anyone to have a look and a listen to this collection of beautiful, everyday stories; http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/nyregion/1-in-8-million/index.html
I’ve spent my Tuesday creating a story too. A story that in parts has already been told, and captured. I’ve been working on an album design for a wedding I photographed back in October (Heidi and Steve) at Nonsuch Mansion.
It’s an amazing feeling as all the images from the different parts of the day comes together in a book, which then takes you back to that moment in time and not only shows you what it looked like, but tells a story of love and laughter. Of friendships and family relations. A story that has no words but speaks so loud.
That’s what I love about photographs.
Lot’s of love. A
