A few weeks back I drove down to Somerset for a wedding which was very special to me. All weddings are special for sure, but because I’ve known the mother & father of the bride for some time, this wedding had a very personal place in my heart.

Long before the wedding even took place, back when I was sitting in a little coffee shop in Leatherhead talking to Natalie & Steve, I knew that this wedding would be an emotional one. Because I knew back then how much I cared and I knew back then how much they cared, for each other.

As prepared as I was, little did I know I would be stood in a corner in the front of the orangery wiping tears of my face as Natalie and her dad walked up the isle. Steve was waiting at the front, excited. Natalie was coming up the isle happy and smiling. And Natalie’s dad next to her, with tears coming down his cheeks. He looked at Steve, then he looked at Natalie as he handed her over, and more tears welled up. In his eyes, mine and most probably the rest of the room.

The rest of the day continued in the same spirit. It was a warm, sunny day. Lot’s of little fairy children running around in the grass with wings on their backs eating cookies and strawberries, laughing and enjoying every moment of the day.

Hestercombe in itself is a beautiful place. It’s landscaped gardens are amazing and ideal for pictures. So when guests were enjoying their afternoon tea we walked the gardens for some relaxed shots of the newly weds. Later that day, after a fantastic meal and some touching speeches, we headed out yet again to capture some more pictures as the sun was setting over the field. It was a truly perfect sunset, almost exclusive, like it was there just for them.

Natalie + Steve. What can I say that I haven’t already. It meant the world to me to be there with you. To share it all with you was such an honour and every second of your day truly touched me. You two are perfect together. You were made for each other. You both have such wonderful families and great friends. Thank you for the lovely food, for the presents and for having me. Lot’s of love. Due to the nature of this wedding I can’t really show a lot of images. I can however show you a few images of Carla, the lovely bride and new Mrs.

Carla got ready at the Caledonian club, where she later got married and celebrated together with her new husband, their friends and family. She is so beautiful. You know the kind of person, that once you get to know them they grow even more gorgeous. That’s Carla.

Here’s a few shots of Carla and some of the details from her wedding a few weeks back. Thank you so much for having me photograph your day and for looking after me so incredibly well. I enjoyed your wedding day enormously and feel very happy to have met you both. Many, many thanks and lot’s of love. A

Meilian & Ty – London In Love

I recently met up with a couple traveling around Europe. They live in Malaysia and had come over to travel and to visit family. They called it an early honeymoon, as they’re not getting married back home until after summer.

One of their stops was London and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph them. We met on a Wednesday afternoon, right in the middle of half term, in the busy touristy Westminster area…. and we had such a good time. We walked the streets of London, shooting where we felt like it, capturing the spirit of the city and of this very-much-in-love couple.

Needless to say, I had such a fab time. Here’s a whole pile of pics to give you all a feel for our shoot. Lot’s of love. A

A few weeks back I met up with Lyn & Jon in Primrose Hill park, London, for their engagement shoot.

They’re getting married later this year and after spending a couple of hours walking the park, getting to know this lovely couple, I am super excited to shoot their wedding.

Primrose park is beautiful and full of surprises I must say. We found a patch of rapeseed blossom, a few picture perfect meadows, a river, a perfect London view, a graffiti wall and a a great London park on top of.

Lyn & jon, it was such a pleasure to spend some time with you. I feel like I’ve known you for ever and I left with a big smile on my face. Can’t wait to see you again soon! Lot’s of love. A
