Fashion

I started my career in photography very early and by the time I was in my teens I was deeply passionate about one particular field of photography: Fashion Photography! I shot all my friends and their friends and then some more friends in all possible poses and locations. I went to exhibitions and followed work of famous photographers like Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Patrick Demarchelier, Annie Leibovitz and the likes. It didn’t take long before I was assisting fashion photographers and shooting models. And on that road I continued…..

…until years later I found my unknown passion for wedding photography. I photographed one wedding, the first wedding I’d ever been to in my life actually, and I was sold. The more I shot weddings the more I loved them. I just couldn’t get enough and quickly filled my calendar with weddings after weddings. Year after year. Pretty soon weddings was my main business and my passion for fashion was hibernating somewhere inside….

…until a few days ago that is, when I spent the day with fashion photographer Paul White. It felt so incredibly good to be back in the studio working with a few different light sources and a model. In the first 3 images below we were working with a huge octagonal softbox for a soft and wide spread light. For the rest of the images we were using a rectangular, and much smaller, softbox for a completely different feel.

Also a big thanks to the lovely Gemma Sutton, who modelled for us all day and did a such a terrific job.

Anyway, here’s a few shots from my lovely day in the studio. Lot’s of love, always. Anna

p.s the very last one is my favourite….
