Kerry & Ross – Wedding at Babington House, Somerset

Last week I photographed Kerry & Ross’ amazing wedding at Babington House in Somerset and it was the most wonderful day.

Babington House is a gorgeous venue south of Bath located in the English countryside. It’s great for photography both inside out, with it’s lovely grounds & surroundings and it’s light, trendy interior. In addition the staff here is extremely professional, helpful and friendly. Oh, and the food is outstanding! To top it the most beautiful little picturesque chapel is only meters away from the main house and one of my absolute favorite places to hold a wedding ceremony.

Having never met Kerry or Ross before (they live on Jersey) I was excited and nervous on the morning of the wedding. As I walked in to the bridal suite I was met by the most warm energy and smiles all around. Kerry instantly took my breath away with her gorgeous looks and true inner beauty. I didn’t have to spend more than a few minutes with her to realize I’d found gold. I spent the first hour or so photographing details and general preparations before heading over to the other building to get some informal pictures of Ross and his best men getting ready and having a laugh. Soon thereafter Kerry and Ross got married and celebrations with friends and family was in full swing.

During the Champagne reception we sneaked of for 20 minutes or so to take some relaxed pictures of Kerry & Ross on their own walking the grounds, having a few cuddles and a bit of fun. It’s amazing how a little countryside path or an old fence, or even a hammock, can look so good when you have one newly wed, in-love, gorgeous couple in front of the camera!

K + R. I felt so welcome right from the very first moment I set foot at Babington and met the two of you. Your warm ways and happy smiles are contagious and you’re such a pleasure to be around. I was moved again and again throughout the day by your love, laughter and kind ways. The love you have for each other is evident and fills each room you pass. You are amazing together! Thank you so much for having me and for treating me to photograph your special day. And have I mentioned the food was great! Thank you.
