Destination Wedding Cannes, France – Marjorie & Guillaume Part I

Before traveling to France for the weekend I was nervous. I’m always nervous before shooting a wedding, but this time I was super nervous. Shooting the wedding between talented event planner Marjorie from Aava Communications and videographer/photographer Guillaume, founder and owner of Lovestory films, brings nerves and expectations. Being the perfectionist I am I wouldn’t settle for anything less than perfect, so the pressure was on for sure.

As usual I was worried for nothing. Right from he beginning M + G welcomed me with open arms and invited me into their lives to document the love, passion and fun that was going to take place over the next few days. I was treated to a big apartment, amazing food, good champagne & transportation from door to door day after day. In return I was working hard to take pictures during the whole of my stay that told the story of their wedding; of who they are, where they are, of the love and laughter that was all around, of friends and family, small details and big locations.

I arrived at the beach villa in Cannes early on day one. Lot’s of extra time during preparations to get familiar with the light & location, and extra hours to focus on little details before hair and make up. For the civil ceremony, Marjorie was wearing a short, chic, white dress with a black ribbon around her waist, black Karen Millen shoes and a trendy hat. After the ceremony we walked the streets of Mougins for some relaxed portraits before heading over to G’s fathers villa for cocktails. The evening was spent in Cannes with food, drinks & dance and one of my favorites parts of the day; when Guillaume surprised Marjorie and sang a song for her. I’ve posted 4 pictures together below from this event as it really sums it up.

Marjorie & Guillaume. I’ve had an amazing few days with you and have truly enjoyed being part of your love and life. It is so refreshing to see you both so completely in love and so passionate about each other. You are perfect and share not only your life and your love, but also your soul. I love the way you laugh together, cry together, dance together and enjoy life together. I’m so incredibly thankful that you picked me to capture your wedding and I really enjoyed being part of every single minute of every day I was with you.

More pictures and Part II to come soon. Lot’s of love. A
